Mission Statement
Educational World Charities supports activities and services which promote access to education, arts and culture, and a healthy environment for every child.
Our Activities
Founded in 1999, Educational World Charities is a 501(c)(3) organization which educates the public about the importance of prevention. We identify and support other 501(c)(3) agencies engaged in prevention activities related to the welfare and education of children. We hold fundraising events to raise awareness for our mission, and participate in the fundraising events of the organizations we support.
We are expanding our activities to include the development and support of arts and culture initiatives in the public schools. An arts-enhanced curriculum is shown to improve academic performance. In spite of this, funding for the arts in underserved communities in the United States has been severely limited when it is most needed to enhance the educational process.
We are developing a pilot interactive musical program designed to introduce elementary school students in underserved communities to songwriting as a way to strengthen social and academic skills in multiple areas of the curriculum. We are seeking corporate sponsors for this program to help us initiate the program in several public schools in the Chicago area.
